My name is Stephan Kvart, I'm 30, I'm engaged to Anna, the
mother of my son, Alfred. We live in Lerum, just north-east of
Gothenburg, Sweden.
I work as a Web Developer, it'll probably become all too
apparent on these pages, and I've been doing so for a while. If you
want the sales pitch, just click this link.
The tools I work with are mainly Umbraco, EPiServer and jQuery, and I'll post
small nuggets of information about it here.
My story with Umbraco started in 2006, when I was tasked with
building a small site for a client, and the project had the perk of
being a pro-bono one. That ruled out anything that cost money, and
the roll-your-own approach to CMS, well, let's just say I've been
there, done that, got the t-shirt, and the sleepless nights. By
then Umbraco was in version 2.1.x, but I fell in love. And the rest
is history. I've been using it ever since, and I got my level 1
& 2 certifications in February 2009, as it turns out, I got my
level 2 certification on Umbraco's 4th birthday.
I've been working with EPiServer since 2005, and I've built
quite a few sites since then. In relation to Umbraco, it's a much
larger CMS, some would say "Enterprise", I wouldn't - I hate that
term. I believe that every job has it's tools, and EPiServer is
just one of them in my toolbox. The clients I've come in contact
with that choose EPiServer, tend to be larger organizations, and
they aren't always comfortable with an Open Source solution, like
Umbraco. I got my certification for EPiServer CMS 5 in September
2009, and my certification for EPiServer CMS 6 in June 2010.
